Beginning in 2008, Western Reserve Hospital is Northeast Ohio’s only physician-owned, for-profit, full service teaching hospital. The hospital is a majority physician-owned joint venture of Western Reserve Hospital Partners, which represents a collaboration of more than 200 physicians, including primary care, surgeons, and specialists. Western Reserve Hospital offers a multitude of specialties and a wide array of general and acute care services, including an emergency department, medical/surgical units, intensive care, and surgery. Western Reserve Hospital is a certified stroke and chest pain center, and a teaching facility, sponsoring graduate medical education teaching programs in osteopathic medicine.
