Join us the Summer of 2023 as our Quality Improvement Fellow!
The Quality Improvement Fellow will initially complete online modules to develop a foundation for their fellowship time with a broad understanding of quality improvement concepts including patient safety, healthcare quality, the quadruple aim of healthcare, the patient experience, and regulatory requirements. Fellows will attend multiple WRH meetings relating to quality, safety, healthcare administration, and patient experience topics. Interested fellows will also attend cancer conferences and morbidity & mortality committee meetings. Fellows will work closely with the Director of Quality Improvement and Accreditation and the Department members.
Fellows may be asked to participate at various capacities in ongoing research projects. This includes conducting literature reviews, initial research, and data collection potentially leading to original research. Fellows will work closely with the WRH Research Coordinator, members of the research committee, medical staff, residency teaching faculty, and residents. Templates and resources for getting started with research will be provided to help you get the most out of your six weeks with us.
To demonstrate how these quality concepts translate into clinical practice, each fellow will have the ability to shadow residents and faculty that reflect future specialty interest(s). A detailed description of the role and qualifications can be found here (updates coming soon for 2023).
