The selection of the incoming resident class follows the guidelines set forth by the ACGME's Trainee Eligibility, Selection and Recruitment process. Western Reserve Hospital highly values a commitment to lifelong learning and strong work ethic in the selection of potential candidates. A well-rounded individual that fits with our model of patient-centered healthcare and quality outcomes, will flourish in the culture we have here.
In addition, we strive to take much of the uncertainty and anxiety away from the interview and selection process. While our programs are competitive we feel that a candidate should be comfortable in the interview process and able to use this time to ask questions and learn about the top quality resident physicians we are training. Before an interview can be given WRH requests that the following information be completed:
- ERAS application
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Board Scores
