NEVER ALONE ACT (Ohio House Bill 236) FOR PATIENT ADVOCATE CHOICE
In Ohio, “The Never Alone Act” (also known as House Bill 236) allows patients and residents in congregate care settings (like Hospitals, nursing homes, and resident facilities) to designate an individual as their advocate. This advocate can be physically present with the patient or resident, especially during emergencies and can advocate for their rights and preferences.
