Western Reserve Hospital recently hosted one of its largest Health Chats at Cuyahoga Falls Public Library. Pharmacy Program Resident, Haley Baker, PharmD spoke to guests about Over-The-Counter products as part of the annual event series, a long-standing collaboration between the library and the hospital designed to bring hospital experts into the community to discuss vital health awareness topics.

Baker’s presentation reviewed over-the-counter drug information, including:

  • Common indications for over-the-counter use
  • Available agents for disease
  • Non-pharmacological treatment options
  • Exclusion criteria for each disease state
  • Roles pharmacists play in the care process

The standing-room-only crowd made this event the highest attended Health Chat to date.
