Local Students Share Artwork Dedicated To Humane Society

New community artwork by Woodridge High School students features impressionistic portraits of adoptable animals from the Humane Society of Summit County. Using images of the animals that were available at the time, the students created their likeness to share online and encourage adoptions. As portraits disappeared from the Humane Society website, the students experienced excitement and joy for the animal’s placement in their new home.

Many animals still await their new family and can be viewed by visiting www.summithumane.org. During COVID-19, cats, dogs and even bunnies have been left waiting at the shelter to be adopted.
