Local Businesses Support Healthcare Workers

Cuyahoga Falls, OH, April 8, 2020 - A number of area shops and services are working to help support Western Reserve Hospital’s frontline healthcare staff and our partner EMS teams as they work tirelessly to keep our community safe and healthy. This is a great example of our unique and strong locally-loyal relationship with the business community in those areas we serve. Check out the following, support local business and support our frontline healthcare heroes:

  • Gavin Scott Salon
    • Gavin Scott Salon is asking friends to share a story about a local healthcare hero – a physician, nurse, paramedic, police officer, fireman or pharmacist
    • Simply provide details about how these people are helping keep others safe, post the story on your Facebook timeline and tag Gavin Scott Salon and the healthcare hero
    • Gavin Scott Salon will send the hero a gift card for a free express pedicure or haircut. The card will be sent Facebook messenger and will not expire

  • Jean+Lou
    • Jean+Lou invites customers to say “Thank You” with a care package donated and delivered to a healthcare worker at Western Reserve Hospital as a reminder that every one of us is grateful for their dedication and sacrifices
    • Each kit includes a sea salt and dark chocolate caramel candy bar, thank you card and a healthcare-themed candle hand poured in Alliance
    • Care packages are $25 and donated to Western Reserve Hospital workers. Purchasers receive a $5 e-gift card for each kit donated. Email [email protected]or message them on Facebook to purchase
  • Harps & Thistles Yarn Emporium
    • Take the opportunity to donate handcrafted succulents made by Marissa Lindsey of Lele Fox Fiber Hooked Designs

  • REVERIE and Hope Soap
    • REVERIE and Hope Soap have teamed up to create the Healthcare Recharge Gift Set to show thanks to healthcare workers in our area
    • Each set is $35 and includes body cream, a candle and a bath bomb from Hope Soap. Customize your gift message and REVERIE will donate one gift set to a local healthcare worker for every 5 purchased

    • Community members are encouraged to purchase a pizza and salad on HiHo’s online menu. For every meal purchased, HiHo will donate one meal
    • Once enough meals are purchased, HiHo will deliver an equal amount to Western Reserve Hospital and Cuyahoga Falls EMS and Fire

  • Up Front Art Space
    • Send a thank you card to a local healthcare worker through Up Front Art Space artist Marcella Chapman
    • Purchase the card, add a personalized message, option to choose who receives the card and they will make sure it is delivered to the hospital. Add on other gifts including glass bobby pin, chapstick holder, stained glass star or coloring book

    • Bellacino’s of Stow is collecting donations to cover the cost of over 300 meals for hospitals, fire, police, EMS and other first responders
