Educating Area Seniors

Members of the Hudson Senior Network gathered for their monthly meeting last week where they welcomed Julie Halaszi, CNP, WRHPI Gastroenterology. Julie provided an informative discussion on digestive health and the changes that occur as we age. She shared valuable insights about the increasing need for dietary fiber, the impact of pelvic floor changes on senior health, and the importance of routine screening colonoscopies for early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer. The presentation also highlighted the connection between nutrition and digestive wellness, emphasizing the benefits of a well-balanced diet and the importance of limiting highly processed foods.

Western Reserve Hospital frequently participates in Hudson Senior Network lunch and learn sessions and is a proud supporter in providing networks such as this with educational events and activities to best inform area seniors regarding a variety of health concerns and topics to promote wellness, education and connection to better the community.
