Meghan Kenney, CAISS, CCA, Trauma Registrar, Emergency Department, Western Reserve Hospital recently had her abstract poster presentation contribution accepted for inclusion at the 2025 American College of Surgeons Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) Conference. Her abstract entitled, “Ohio, The Heart of It All: How Ohio Collaborates to Standardize Trauma Registry Education and Develop Data Consistency to Foster High-Quality Trauma Registrars Across the State”, will be featured at the conference in Chicago this November.
The presentation examines how Ohio’s trauma system lacks centralized state oversight, resulting in significant inconsistencies in data collection, registry education, and data dictionary interpretation and how to address these challenges through the Alliance of Ohio Trauma Registrars (AOTR).
Meghan is a member of the AOTR and volunteered to participate in a subcommittee to create the abstract to submit to the conference.
