I am an American abstract artist and creative director working primarily in large-scale compositions that merge elevated minimalism with emotive, gestural movement. My work lives in the tension between refinement and rawness – where polished meets undone, structure meets surrender.
I grew up around craftsmanship. My grandfather was a custom home builder, and from an early age, I watched spaces come to life from hand-drawn blueprints to finished form. That exposure shaped how I see scale, proportion, and architectural rhythm. Today, I create paintings that are not simply decorative – they are meant to anchor a room. I consider negative space as carefully as movement, believing restraint can hold as much power as boldness.
I work in acrylic, plaster, watercolor, and mixed media, building layered surfaces that feel both intentional and instinctive. Rough textures sit beside delicate washes; bold strokes dissolve into atmospheric fog. I am drawn to creating work that feels modern yet timeless, minimal yet expressive, and quietly grounded. Through Megan Elle Art, I create one-of-a-kind pieces for collectors, commercial and residential interiors, and collaborative design projects.
