Growing up in New Hartford, NY, the foothills of the Adirondacks, Mike Amico always had a passion for the arts. Though early on, his first love was a pencil, the camera quickly became his favorite tool to create with.
Mike attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL, and graduated in 1999 with a BFA in photography and digital imaging. He entered the photographic industry in 2000 and has worked for some of the finest companies in the industry, such as Minolta, Casio, Panasonic, and Fujifilm. Currently, Mike is a technical account manager for OM System (formerly Olympus Corporation), covering photo retailers in North America.
In 2015, Mike started to focus on capturing landscapes and birds and has progressed over the years in order to fine-tune his art. Mike has been published in Birding Magazine and currently resides in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
