Artistic Work Descriptions:
“Seasons of Mental Health”: This collection explores the profound impact of mental health on personal perception and how it shapes one’s view of the world, often contrasting with the perspectives of others. Through a year-long cyclical journey, Michael captures the fluctuating nature of his mental health, infusing each piece with deep symbolism. To gain further insight into the series, watch Michael’s “art story” about the collection here:
“Resilience” is the first piece in Michael’s newest series, Primordia: Quiet Battles, Deep Growth, which continues his exploration of mental health themes. Building on his previous work, Michael continues to use abstract landscapes to express his personal experiences, this time focusing on mushrooms. He explores their unique characteristics, their interaction with their environment, and the common misunderstandings of their nature, drawing parallels to his own journey of quiet, reflective and often unseen growth.
