Western Reserve Hospital Unveils Onsite Wound Care Clinic

In August 2021, Western Reserve Hospital unveiled the new Wound Care Clinic.

The new onsite Wound Care Clinic, located inside Entrance 5, is led by Dr. Nicole Ramon, Vascular Surgery, with physician care from Dr. Nicholas Campitelli, Podiatry, Dr. Richard Rasper, Podiatry, and Dr. Amy Tucker, Orthopedics. Clinical support is provided by our certified wound care nurse, Wanda Deiwert.

Types of wounds commonly treated include diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, decubitus (pressure) ulcers and surgical wounds. Comprehensive wound treatments include wound debridement, negative pressure wound treatment (wound vacs), application of Unna Boot, total contact leg cast, multilayer compression dressing and skin substitutes, postoperative follow-up and more.

The staff also offer coordination of wound care orders and durable medical equipment (DME) for home care items needed between care visits.
