Celebrating Our Nurses

Each year Western Reserve Hospital celebrates Nurses Week in appreciation of the many men and women on our nursing staff that most visibly continue our commitment to improving healthcare in our community and the region. From direct patient care to administrative or support roles, our nurses stand ready at the frontline of the care experience. We recently honored our nursing teams at a Nurses Awards Program to recognize their outstanding performance, leadership and education. This year’s theme is “Our Nurses at Western Reserve Hospital are E.P.I.C. (Extraordinary, Passionate, Inspiring, Committed)” We can’t thank our nursing teams enough for their strength, compassion and diverse skill sets that are vital to the successful operation of our organization. Nurses throughout Western Reserve Hospital were nominated by physicians, peers and other staff members for excellence in one of four categories – Cameos of Caring, Nursing Excellence, Physicians Choice and Rookie of the Year. A surprise announcement of Western Reserve Hospital’s Sigma Theta Tau honoree was also unveiled. Sigma Theta Tau membership is by invitation-only to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.
