In addition to the current Cuyahoga Falls and Akron locations, Western Reserve Hospital Physicians Oncology's Dr. Jennifer Payne and Dr. Mehool Patel now see patients at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.
NEW! Migraine Clinic
The American Migraine Foundation estimates that at least 39 million Americans live with migraine, but because many people do not get a diagnosis or have access to the treatment they need, the actual number is probably higher. To help with this healthcare crisis, we have launched the Western Reserve Hospital Migraine Clinic, led by Dr. Samer Narouze, with clinical support from Dr. Tim Sable and Dr. Dmitri Souza.
An extension of our Center for Pain Medicine, the new Migraine Clinic was created to serve the very specific needs of those patients suffering with debilitating headaches and other life-limiting symptoms associated with migraines. This will allow our team of nationally-recognized pain specialists to deliver targeted care.

Education on Pain
With the help of Bethany Pontius, NP-C, Pain Medicine, we are sharing her expertise on our website and social media pages to help educate patients, visitors, and followers. Read the blog, “The Impact of Diet and Nutrition on Pain Management”, explaining how chronic inflammation causes pain and eating inflammatory foods can lead to even more pain.

Community Events
Dr. Gordon Bennett, Orthopedic Surgeon, recently presented on foot and ankle issues to a group of seniors at Hudson City Hall. He addressed concerns and treatment options related to hammer toes, bunions, foot and ankle arthritis and more. Guests had the opportunity to ask questions and gain information from Dr. Bennett’s extensive knowledge of a variety of foot and ankle conditions and solutions. We participated in Junior Achievement’s Inspire to Hire event at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Over 3,800 students participated along with 85 exhibitors that displayed information about education and job requirements for various occupations.
Cuyahoga Falls High School students recently engaged our pharmacy on a research project regarding improper disposal of pharmaceutical waste and how it affects our water systems. Students focused on how to inform individuals about this and what they can do to avoid contributing to the issue. One of our pharmacy residents, Corrissa Adams, PharmD, visited the students to give them an expert perspective on handling pharmaceutical waste properly and they were able to use the information to present their projects.
