July 1, 2016 — The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) recently recognized Western Reserve Hospital in the 2016 OSBA Business Honor Roll program for its support of Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools. The Honor Roll program allows school districts to say “thank you” to local businesses for their contributions throughout the year.
“The outpouring of support from Western Reserve Hospital continues to benefit our students in a variety of ways, and the children, faculty and board members truly appreciate the positive relationship we’ve built with the hospital,” said Tom Bratten, superintendent of Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools.
Western Reserve Hospital is one of only four community organizations recognized by the school district. As a physician-owned facility, the hospital has always maintained a dedicated focus on promoting the community’s health and wellness, especially within the schools. The hospital’s donations to school events, academic scholarships and extracurricular activities have created new opportunities for students and assisted the efforts of the school district.
Bratten presented the hospital with a certificate of recognition and a letter of congratulations at the OSBA’s June meeting.
