Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, January 9, 2019 - Western Reserve Hospital recently partnered with Stow Police Department to deliver bags filled with emergency first aid supplies for use in all squad vehicles.
The initiative is part of an ongoing partnership between Western Reserve Hospital and Stow to continue to improve safety within the community. With these emergency bags available in each squad vehicle, all officers are ready to help each other and members of the community when needed.
“On behalf of the entire Stow Police Department and residents, I want to express my appreciation for Western Reserve Hospital’s help in keeping our city safe and healthy,” said Jeff Film, Chief of Police, Stow PD. “These first aid bags better prepare our officers to face challenges in emergency situations, whether they need to help a fellow officer or resident."
The first aid bags include essential materials including gauze, abdominal pads, rubber gloves, tourniquets, bandages and scissors.
“We are all very thankful for Western Reserve Hospital’s donation of the emergency bags for our Stow police officers,” said John Pribonic, Stow Mayor. “Western Reserve constantly reminds us of their commitment to the community and we look forward to continuing to improve the safety of our area together.”
