Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, December 19, 2018 – Western Reserve Hospital spread a little more holiday cheer among its physicians and staff during the hospital’s first-ever gingerbread house competition this month. 28 gingerbread house displays were staged throughout the hospital for staff and patients alike to admire and enjoy.
Individual hospital staff and department entries were decoratively embellished in a variety of ways, including an emergency department / ambulance display that showcased area squads who work with Western Reserve Hospital as well as house themes ranging from holiday Snoopy and Woodstock and The Blizzard (Wizard) of Oz to Santa Claus at the beach and a gingerbread treehouse.
“We recently celebrated as a hospital family at our annual holiday dinner for our physicians and staff and even started up an ugly holiday sweater contest this year,” said Robert Kent, DO, President and CEO of Western Reserve Hospital. “Building these houses is not about who wins, but how we can build each other up this holiday season - another way we can come together to celebrate our teamwork and reflect on the many things our amazing physicians, staff and community partners accomplish each and every day.”
