In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and to celebrate the vast cultural diversity of our world, we invite you to visit this special exhibit designed to introduce Northeast Ohio to the beauty and essence of the Bahamian national cultural festival known as Junkanoo (Junk-Ka-Nu). The exhibit features works by Keith Gordon Wisdom. His work has been held in private collections in Hungary, the United States, Canada and numerous Bahamian private and corporate collections. In 2015, his first U.S. exhibit began at Kent State University’s Uumbaji Art Gallery and he has recently had work exhibited at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio.

Woodridge Highschool students 9-12 created three panels that represent the concept of Mother Earth, under direction of art teacher Chelby Benson. The students created imagery that morphs together the four seasons we experience here in Northeast Ohio. The students thought it would be important to display basic human interactions within these panels. These interactions represent that importance of Mother Earth within our daily lives. The community is invited to view the mural in City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The mural was executed by Woodridge High School students; Kira Cseak, Aiden Hartong, Sydney Kearns and Carly Rager.
