Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, February 7, 2019 - The “Friendship Community Quilt”, a 3-panel mural created by students at Roberts Middle School, is now on display at City Hall as part of continuing partnership with Western Reserve Hospital, Collide: Cuyahoga Falls and Cuyahoga Falls City Schools.
To complete the collaborative project, 103 art students of all abilities, interests and talents came together to create the mural which focuses on the importance of friendship, cooperation and community. The panels show different variations of the friendship star quilt pattern and incorporate every color of the rainbow.
“It is an honor to be able to partner with Western Reserve Hospital, Collide: Cuyahoga Falls and Cuyahoga Falls City Schools to showcase the talent of our youngest residents,” said Mayor Don Walters. “We are proud to continue our support of the arts in our community by hosting the display at City Hall.”
The artwork is located at Cuyahoga Falls City Hall along the north hallway near the Police and Parks and Recreation Departments. The community may view the mural during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
