Stipends - Academic Year 2016-2017

The rate of resident stipends at Western Reserve Hospital is determined by the postgraduate year level of training. Stipend rates for 2016-2017 year are as follows:

Medical and Dental/Vision insurance are available and offered through Anthem Network at a competitive rate based on our Wellness for Life program

Malpractice/ liability insurance is carried on each resident by the hospital

Life Insurance & 401(k) Profit Sharing Plans available to residents

Short/Long Term Liability is available to residents

Paid Time Off - 20 working days per year per approval of the program director (includes time off for illness, bereavement and vacation)

Educational Allowance - Residents receive $1,500 per academic year for reimbursement of educational equipment, supplies and fees

Educational Conferences - Residents are given 5 days of conference time each year for medical conventions and conferences outside the hospital. A travel allowance will be provided for registration, hotel and airfare; all travel must be pre-approved to receive allowance.

Life Support Certification Courses - The following courses will be provided at no cost to the resident based on the residency program;BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS

Moonlighting - PGY-2 through PGY-6 residents may engage in moonlighting activities, rescrictions apply

Meal Allowance- Residents receive a monthly stipend of $200 for meals

Lab Coats- Two lab coats are provided each year

Sign-on Bonus - Family and Internal Medicine residents will be given a sign-on bonus of $10,000

Parking - Provided at no cost
